The Official Web Site

Obviously, wsims.com is the official web site of William Sims. It was founded in July 2001 and got about 2 hits a day (from me). Once I started writing games, I put up some information on running my games behind a firewall. My site became a success getting almost 200 hits a month... from people wanting to play OTHER games behind firewalls.

Once I put up "Sparks 3! This Time It's Not Sparks 2!", my web site became much more popular getting almost 400 hits a month. Half of those people wanted to play "Sparks 3!". It still gets played by strangers a few dozen times a day. Pretty amazing, huh?

The Official Arcade Dancing Game

I became addicted to dancing games while visiting China. Once I came back, I bought a couple dancing games for the computer and played a game called "Pump It Up" at Dave and Busters. I became addicted to a game which required you to break four sensors with your hands (found at the Aurora Mall in Colorado). It was a lot of fun and I tried to buy it from the arcade, but it wasn't for sell.

Then I found Game Exchange of Colorado, Inc at 2830 West 9th Avenue. There, I found "Pump It Up Perfect Collection". It was all in Korean and English, but it was easy to learn where the songs were. I purchased the game for the finished basement, but the game is HUGE! I estimate that it has been played for 208 hours, which amounts to about $1560 in Dave and Busters tokens. It easily beats the treadmill I bought!

The Official Shoes

I needed some shoes to go with the dancing game. I found customatix.com which made custom shoes. (It doesn't seem like the site exists anymore *FROWN*.) The shoes were made in Shenzhen, China as featured on National Public Radio!

The shoes are size 7 1/2. The flames are on a spandex-like material which makes the sides of the shoes grip my feet better. The symbol at the top stands for "Addict". The little scorpions on the side are to represent my zodiac sign, Scorpio. The sides are made of a mesh that is colored from black to grey. The trim is all suede. The back interior is padded and covered with a red silk-like material. The bottom of the shoes and the back also have the zodiac symbol for Scorpio, a "m" with an arrow. Finally, the back of the shoes say "Total Addict". They look really good if I do say so myself.

The Official Imaginary Ceremonial Blade

I've been trying to become a semi-proficient computer graphics artist. I have followed many tutorials and had hundreds of attempts. My best are kept on my web site. And all of those aren't all that great!

Following a simple tutorial, I was able to create this blade. It looked rather ceremonial, so I named it that. I am so proud of it, you can purchase posters and shirts of it on zazzle.com by simply searching for "wsims" in their search field.

If somebody wants to make a physical version of this, I would be more than willing to put up the costs for the material! This could easily be marketed as a "blood brother knife"! Fun, fun!

The Official Science Fiction Book

My sister Tracy turned me onto this book. This would make an excellent book-club book even for people who are turned off to science fiction. (My sister is a perfect example.) Imagine a future where only the truth can be told. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

The Official Science Fiction Movie

Previews turned me onto this movie. This would make an excellent movie-club movie even for people who are turned off to science fiction. (My sister Brenda is a perfect example. She figured she would watch a few minutes and head to bed... she couldn't leave after watching for a few minutes!) Imagine a future where only your genetics can be told. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

The Official Spatula

I love this spatula. I got it from Pampered Chef when a friend of mine, Erin, was selling the stuff. It's one of those things you can order which only sets you back $7. (Of course, the $100s I spent on other Pampered Chef stuff makes the spatula kind of silly.) And at only a 4 inches long, it stores easily.

I use this spatula mostly for removing cookies from a hot cookie sheet. It's also been used for serving pizza, cinnamon rolls, butter braids, and stuffed peppers.
